Men's Cross Country Runs in Final Tune-Up for PL Championships at Lafayette

EASTON, Pa. – Bucknell took second place (39 points) at the Lafayette Invite in the final tune-up for the squad before the Patriot League Championships on Nov. 2 at Colgate.
Results
Bucknell placed four runners in the top ten, with freshman Noah Martin (5th, 26:18.63) leading the way for the Orange and Blue. American took the top four runners, with Martin rounding out the top five in the field of 34.
Terryl Ferrell was close behind Martin (6th, 26:30.43), followed by Ryan Miele (8th, 26:38.40) and Matt Vira (9th, 26:43.47) to close out the top ten. Matt Cervon just missed out on a top-ten finish, taking 11th (26:47.19) on the 8k course.
James Weissenborn (14th, 27:15.00) also put in a solid day for Bucknell to round out six Bison runners in the top 15 spots. Quenton Long (28th, 27:56.00) also competed for the Bison.
American won the team title with 17 points, followed by Bucknell (39), Lafayette, (83), and St. Joseph's (96). Freshman Russell Sullivan of American won the individual title (25:36.88).
The Bison will now look ahead to the Patriot League Championships hosted by Colgate on Nov. 2.
