About the Bison
• At 7-6 overall and 2-1 in Patriot League play, the Bison enter the weekend third in league standings.
• Bucknell played back-to-back games Monday and Tuesday against a pair of Ivy League opponents. The Bison put up three goals in Monday's win over Yale before falling to Cornell, 1-0 on Tuesday.
• Goalkeeper Olivia Harris has 24 saves over the last two games, 14 of which came in the win over the Bulldogs. The 14 saves were a career high for Harris, who ranks in the top three of the league with a 1.67 goals against average.
• Senior Allie Christopher was named the Patriot League's Offensive Player of the Week last week after recording her first career hat trick in Saturday's win over Lehigh. Christopher is now among the league's points leaders with five goals and two assists on the season.
• Senior Brittany Willwerth is tied for second on the team with 12 points. Willwerth scored her fourth goal of the season against Yale and has four assists as well. Â
• Also with four assists this season is freshman Mackenzie Kile. The first-year forward provided two assists in the Lehigh game and scored her first collegiate goal against Yale on Monday.
• The Bison recorded season highs in goals, assists, and shots against the Mountain Hawks on Saturday. The eight goals scored were the most against a Patriot League opponent in program history.
About Colgate/Series History
• The Raiders are in seventh place in Patriot League standings as they continue to search for a win over a league opponent. The Raiders have wins over Saint Louis and Towson this season.
• Sophomore Anna Unger has started all 13 games in the cage for Colgate. Unger is fourth in the league with 5.31 saves per game and has a 3.39 goals against average.
• Colgate junior Taylor Casamassa is first on the team with 10 points this season. Casamassa has three goals and four assists, with two of those assists coming in the win over Saint Louis. Cassamasa also scored the game-winner in overtime against Towson.
• Also with three goals this season is senior Nicole Salamone. Salamone scored in each of Colgate's victories and twice in the Towson victory.
• Bucknell leads the all-time series 33-10-3 and has come out on top in each of the last 12 meetings. Willwerth recorded a hat trick in last season's 6-0 win over the Raiders. Chloe Poltonavage also had a goal in that game.
Bison Play4TheCure
Saturday is Bucknell field hockey's annual Play4TheCure game, which helps raise money for the funding of cancer research. The Bison will hold a raffle during the game, with the drawing taking place at halftime. Raffle tickets are three for $5, seven for $10, or 20 for $25. All proceeds will go to the National Foundation for Cancer Research. T-Shirts will also be available for purchase at the game.
