Men's Cross Country Prepares for Paul Short Run

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell University men's cross country team will look to put together a strong performance at the Paul Short Run on Saturday at 9 a.m. in Bethlehem, Pa.
This will be the sixth time in the past seven years that Bucknell has taken part in the meet, which featured 44 teams in 2018. The meet is one of the largest intercollegiate cross country races in the nation. The Goodman Cross Country Course will also host the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals in 2019.

About the Bison
- Bucknell took 13th at the Panorama Farms Invite, 15 points out of ninth, in a tough field at the meet hosted by the University of Virginia.
- Drew Dorflinger (42nd, 25:07.4) was the top finisher for the Bison in his first meet since the season-opening Pitt Panther Opener.
- Connor McMenamin and Brendan O'Toole also posted solid days for the Bison, placing 71st and 77th, respectively in the field of 164.
- Freshman Samuel Whittaker (80th, 25:56.7) and junior Evan Minor (88th, 26:04.2) rounded out the scorers for Bucknell.
- The Bison will look to rebound at Saturday's Paul Short Run, where the team took 26th out of 44 in 2018.
- Matt Vira led the way for Bucknell in that race, taking 76th in the field of 367. Matt Cervon (169th) also took part in the meet.
- After the Paul Short Run, the Bison will have just one more weekend of meets before the Patriot League Championships on Nov. 2.

- Bucknell will travel to the Penn State National Invite on Friday, Oct. 18, while another group will travel to the Lafayette Invite on Saturday, Oct. 19.
