Salisbury Named Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa.-- Junior Kaitlin Salisbury has been named the Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week for the second time this season after picking up multiple victories in the field events at the Gulden Invitational on Saturday.

Salisbury won the triple jump with an ECAC-qualifying leap of 38-7 3/4 before winning the long jump after leaping 18-10. Salisbury then went on to win the 60 with a school-record 7.61, breaking her own school record of 7.62 that she set in 2017. Salisbury has now qualified for ECAC's in all three events, including breaking a 20-year old school record in the long jump at the Bison Opener on Dec. 1., 2018.

Salisbury also earned the Most Valuable Female Field Athlete of the Meet for her efforts.

The Bucknell women won the meet as a team with Johns Hopkins, East Stroudsburg, and Bloomsburg all competing.

Salisbury and the rest of the Bison will take part in either the Bison Open and Multi or the Penn State National Invite from Jan. 25-26.
