No. 15 Illinois began the day with a three-stroke lead over host Yale, and the Illini outscored the Bulldogs 282-286 on Sunday to win the team title by seven shots Princeton and Stirling both shot 282 in the final round to finish third and fourth, respectively, followed by Boston College in fifth.
James Nicholas of Yale had an impressive tournament, finishing with a 15-under 195 (64-64-67). He outdistanced the Illinois tandem of Bryan Baumgarten and Adrien Dumont de Chassart, who tied for second at 8-under.
