Men's Cross Country to Compete at Lehigh's Paul Short Run on Saturday

When: Saturday, Sept. 29 – 12:15 p.m.
Where: Goodman Campus Cross Country Course (Bethlehem, Pa.)

About the Bison
• Bucknell will send runners that didn't compete in Boston last weekend to the Paul Short Run at Lehigh's Goodman Campus Cross Country Course on Saturday.
• The Bison runners will compete in the Brown Race.
• The Brown Race will include four Patriot League teams. In addition to Bucknell, Lehigh, Lafayette, and Holy Cross will compete.
• Also competing in the Brown Race is a regionally-ranked team in George Washington and a Division III nationally-ranked team in Ithaca.
• Connor McMenamin was Bucknell's top runner last weekend at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown, taking 66th out of 215 runners.
• Freshman Brendan O'Toole has been named Patriot League Rookie of the Week following each of his past two races.
Bucknell at the Paul Short Run
• The Bison last competed at the Paul Short Run in 2016.
• Current senior Chad Sussman ran in that race and finished 108th out of 401 runners.
• The Bison finished ahead of four Patriot League teams that competed.

"Traditionally, we like to give our top runners this week off because of the high-intensity meet at Boston. The rest of our team will compete at Paul Short. It's a great course that hosts the Patriot League or Regional meets most years, so it's good to have people get familiar with the course. Traditionally, we have some athletes have breakout races at this meet and some have even earned a spot on our NCAA Regional team in the top seven. Being in the Brown race also allows our athletes to run their own race and not get out too hard, which can happen in a very large and competitive meet."
