Bison Finish 7th at Pinehurst

PINEHURST, N.C. -- The Bucknell women's golf team closed its trip to the Pinehurst Intercollegiate with its best score of the week, a 346 in the final round on Friday at Pinehurst No. 8. The Bison finished in seventh place with a 54-hole total of 1,049.
Scoring conditions were extremely challenging all week, with only one team breaking 315. That was tournament champion Eastern Kentucky, which finished with a 309 and ran away with a 28-stroke win over runner-up Richmond.
Lindsay Dodovich led Bucknell's starting five with a final-round 82, and she finished T-19th on the individual leaderboard with a 249 total. Katie Childers made a couple of birdies and closed with an 85. Meredith Langs shot 89, and Casey Morrow and Erin Holmes both shot 90.
Anna Dailey was a bright spot for the Bison this week. Playing as an individual, Dailey matched Dodovich's 82. Her 252 composite was the best among the six unattached players in the field. She finished 23rd overall.
Ragga Kristinsdottir of Eastern Kentucky posted a final-round 75 and was medalist by three shots over teammate Elsa Moberly.
Bucknell is back in action on Monday and Tuesday at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate, hosted by William & Mary.
