Last Time Out
• Kate Walker and Kyi English combined for 42 points to lead Bucknell to a 73-68 win over Youngstown State in front of 1,990 fans at Sojka Pavilion on Dec. 18. Walker finished with 22 points and three assists, while English tallied 20 points and seven rebounds.
• Nine players scored for the Bison and three scored in double-figures, including Ellie Mack with 11 points.
• Abby Kapp turned in an outstanding defensive effort on the Penguins' top scorer, Alison Smolinski, holding her to three points on 0-of-7 shooting. Smolinski averaged 26.5 points over the previous two games, including a school-record nine 3-pointers in a win over Canisius.
• Bucknell led by as much as 19 late in the third quarter. Youngstown State, which never led in the game, did manage to cut the lead to four multiple times in the fourth quarter.
• Kaitlyn Slagus pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds. Slagus, Kapp, and Tessa Brugler all had two steals to help the Bison finish with 10 as a team.

• Iowa State is 9-2 after three straight wins over North Dakota (87-35), Drake (86-81), and Prairie View A&M (94-46). The Cyclones only two losses were to South Dakota (64-59) and then-No. 16 Iowa (73-70).
• The Cyclones opened the season by taking the Preseason WNIT title with wins over Niagara (95-35), Northern Illinois (70-60), Auburn (67-64), and then-No. 24 Miami (75-52).
• Senior Bridget Carleton was a unanimous First Team All-Big 12 selection in each of the past two seasons. She was also an AP All-America honorable mention last year. She is averaging 17.9 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 4.1 assists this season.
