Men's Cross Country Set for Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships on Friday

Setting the Scene
What: Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships
When: Friday, Nov. 9 (1 p.m.)
Where: Blue and White Course – 10k (University Park, Pa.)
Bucknell Lineup: Jacob Stupak, Brian Dengler, Chad Sussman, Connor McMenamin, Brendan O'Toole, Evan Minor, Brendan McGill
About the Bison
• Bucknell is coming off an impressive third-place finish at the Patriot League Championships, led by three All-Patriot League runners.
• Brian Dengler (12th), Jacob Stupak (13th), and Chad Sussman (14th) all earned Second Team All-Patriot League honors. It was the first all-league award for all three runners.
• A few days after the meet, Chad Sussman was voted to the Academic All-Patriot League Team for the first time in his career.
• Bucknell is ranked ninth in the Mid-Atlantic Region, one spot behind Saint Joseph's and one spot ahead of Navy.
• The Bison are the highest ranked of the Patriot League teams in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Lehigh is ranked 12th.
Last Year at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships
• Bucknell finished eighth out of 26 teams at the 2017 Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships, led by a 29th-place finish by Will Bordash and a 31st-place finish by Drew Dorflinger.
• Jacob Stupak is the top finisher from last season that is in the lineup for this year's meet, taking 65th. Chad Sussman was 70th and Connor McMenamin took 77th.

"I believe the 10k will favor our men's team as we are not the type of team that likes to get out fast. We are ranked ninth in the region coming off a very good league meet. I believe we have another level in us and we always try to make it a goal to finish higher than our ranking.
