Last Time Out
• Bucknell hung with 18th-ranked Syracuse until the Orange pulled away in the final quarter to get the70-56 win. The Bison led 42-41 midway through the third quarter.
• The Bison finished with nine 3-pointers, all of which came on their first 18 attempts. Abby Kapp hit three and had 11 poins, while Ally Johnson made two and tallied eight points.Â
• Kyi English had five of the team's 11 steals as Bucknell forced 24 Syracuse turnovers. The Bison have had double-digit steals in three of the first four games.
• Bucknell held Syracuse to 7.7 points below its season average. The Bison held the Orange to their lowest total in their four games this season, which included matchups against No. 3 Oregon and No. 20 Texas A&M.
About UMass
• UMass is 3-1 with wins over Sacred Heart (78-61), Central Connecticut (74-59), and UT Rio Grand Valley (74-70), and a loss to Towson (78-53).
• Hailey Leidel had a huge game against UT Rio Grand Valley, going for 28 points and 13 rebounds. She leads the team in both categories, averaging 16.5 points and 8.3 rebounds.
• The Minutewomen were picked ninth out of 14 teams in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll.
