Field Hockey Closes Regular Season With Two Home Games this Weekend

The Bison Host Lafayette Saturday and Appalachian State for Senior Day Sunday

About the Bison
• Bucknell closes the regular season with a pair of home games this weekend. The Bison host Lafayette on Saturday at 2 p.m., and Appalachian State on Sunday at 1 p.m.
• The Bison will honor seven players for Senior Day prior to Sunday's game. M.C. Evans, Mackenzie Haney, Claire Lesher, Katie Mannino, Sally Olson, Lexi Quick, and Nicole Rupnik will play their final home game at Bucknell.
• Four of Bucknell's seven losses this season came to teams that were nationally ranked at the time of the game, including two against league opponents. Both of those league losses came in overtime.
• The Bison can finish as high as the second seed and as low as the fourth seed in the Patriot League Tournament. The tournament will be hosted by top-seeded Boston University.
• Bucknell's last win, a 3-1 victory over Holy Cross that clinched a spot in the Patriot League Tournament, was fueled by three players that scored their first goal of the season. Sarah Dimock tied the game at 1-1, Olson scored the game-winner early in the second half, and Evans tacked on an insurance goal.
• Olson was named the Bison Athlete of the Week for her play against the Crusaders.

• Lafayette is 8-9 overall and 4-1 in the Patriot League with back-to-back wins over American (3-1) and Cornell (2-1, 2OT).
• The Leopards have clinched a spot in the Patriot League Tournament for the first time since 2015.
• Molly McAndrew ranks fourrh in the conference with seven goals.
Series History with Lafayette
• Lafayette leads 36-14-2 in the all-time series with Bucknell. The teams first played in 1977.
• The teams have traded wins over the past four seasons. Bucknell won 2-1 in 2014 and 3-0 in 2016. Lafayette won 3-1 in 2015 and 1-0 in 2017.
• Nicole Rupnik has two career goals against the Leopards.
