About the Bison

Bucknell concludes the fall season this weekend at the Delaware Invitational at Rehoboth Beach Country Club. Katie Childers, Meredith Langs, Casey Morrow, Erin Holmes and Sally Sohn.
The Bison have been idle since Oct. 8-9, when they finished 15th in a very strong field at the Pinehurst Challenge. After opening with a 319 team score, Bucknell followed with 304 and 302. The final-round 302 was the eighth-best tally in the 17-team field.
Childers (78-74-75) was the low Bison for the week at Pinehurst, finishing T-31st. The round of the week was a final-round, even-par 72 from Morrow. She made four birdies on the day en route to a career-best round.
The Bison have now posted 309 or better six times this fall and are averaging 310.8, down from 325.4 over the full 2017-18 season. The school record for fall scoring average is 312.0, set in 2011.
Childers leads the team with a 75.9 average this fall. Six of her 12 rounds are 75 or better, and all 12 are in the 70s. Childers is threatening the school record for fall scoring average. Lindsay Dodovich set the mark with a 76.8 last fall.
Morrow ranks No. 2 with a 76.4 mark, and 11 of her 12 rounds have been in the 70s. With a 72 last time out at Pinehurst, a 72 at the Bucknell Invitiational, and a season-opening 73 at Kingsmill, Morrow has the team's three low rounds of the season.
Langs is coming off her best outing of the fall at Pinehurst, posting 79-76-76 to lower her season average to 80.0. Holmes takes a 79.6 average to Delaware, with a low round of 74.

The Bison at the Delaware Invitational

Bucknell debuted at the Delaware Invitational last season, finishing in ninth place with team scores of 317-320-320.
Lindsay Dodovich finished with a 3-over 75 and placed T-14th individually. Langs, Childers, Morrow and Holmes were also in the lineup at Rehoboth Beach last season.
Penn State won last year's event by 10 strokes over Delaware.
