
No. 14 Men's Water Polo Set for Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The No. 14 Bucknell University men's water polo team will travel to California for four nonconference games beginning Oct. 20 at 12 p.m. Eastern Time.
The Bison will take on Cal Baptist and San Jose State on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 12 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. Eastern Time, before playing Santa Clara and Air Force on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Setting the Scene

Bison Notes
- Bucknell will look to continue a strong run of recent form after winning eight of its past nine games.
- Bucknell has also won five of its last six games against ranked competition, including a 3-1 weekend against #20 Wagner, #10 Harvard, #14 Princeton, and #13 Brown.
- The three wins helped the Bison jump three spots in the latest CWPA rankings, up to 14th.
- The Bison's only defeat came to #14 Princeton, a one-goal loss that was the Bison's third game decided by one goal in its last five contests.
- The win vs. Harvard snapped a three-game losing streak to the Crimson for the Bison, and gave Harvard its first defeat at the Harvard Invite dating back to 2016.
- The Bison were led by Rade Joksimovic, who scored six goals and have five assists en route to being named the MAWPC Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
- This also marks the fourth time that Joksimovic has earned the honor overall this season.
- However, it was Cooper Dolan who broke a 16-16 tie with 1:30 left in the fourth period to give the Bison the win. A save from Jack Otto and a steal from Jared Stanley helped the Bison stave off a Harvard comeback in the final seconds of the match.
- The Bison participated in the Julian Fraser Memorial last season, going 2-2 with wins over Loyola Marymount and Santa Clara, and losses against UC Davis and California Baptist.
- Bucknell is 12-5 at the Julian Fraser Memorial (previously known as the Santa Clara Rodeo) since 2014.
Milestone Watch
- Joksimovic's 29-point weekend helped propel the Novi Sad, Serbia native to 347 goals all-time.
- The 347 goals now place Joksimovic solely in second place on the all-time list, passing Jeff Hilk's 334 career tallies.
- Joksimovic's 465 career points now also moves him past Hilk for second on the all-time points list.

- The Broncos hold an 8-6 advantage in the all-time series over Bucknell, with the Bison prevailing 10-9 in overtime last season on a game-winning goal by Joksimovic. The two teams have split the last two meetings.
Air Force at a Glance
- Air Force is 6-11 this season, with a 2-2 record in WWPA play.
- The Falcons have won their past two games, defeating Santa Clara and Pomona-Pitzer.
