No. 17 Men's Water Polo Closes Harvard Invite With 13-6 win Over No. 13 Brown

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After dropping its first contest of the day against Princeton, the Bucknell men's water polo team rebounded with a 13-6 win over Brown to finish the Harvard Invitational 3-1.
Bucknell improves to 16-3 on the season overall, and 7-4 in Harvard Invitational matches over the past three seasons.
Bucknell once again started quickly in the match, scoring four of the game's first five goals to take a 4-1 lead at the 7:11 mark of the second quarter. Logan Schofield helped to start the run for the Bison, scoring two of his three goals in the first period.
After Brown answered with a goal to make it 4-2, Rade Joksimovic provided an answer on the other end with a goal to make the score 5-2 heading into the halftime break.
The Bison pulled away in the third period, outscoring the Bears 4-1 to take a commanding 9-3 lead heading into the final period. The goals were provided from four different goalscorers: Joksimovic, Jack Lewis, Schofield, and Jared Stanley.
The Bison managed to add four more goals in the fourth period to take a 13-6 win and end the Harvard Invitational 3-1 and improve to 5-2 in neutral site contests.
Joksimovic led the way attacking for the Bison, picking up five goals and two assists for seven points, his third straight game with at least five goals.
Schofield added three goals, while Lewis had two goals. Jack Otto made nine saves for the Bison.
