What: Cornell Invitational
When: Saturday-Sunday (36 holes Saturday with shotgun start, 18 holes Sunday with tee times)
Where: Robert Trent Jones Golf Course, Ithaca, N.Y.
The Field: Bucknell, Cornell, Binghamton, Brown, Canisius, Colgate, Columbia, Dartmouth, Penn, St. Bonaventure, Siena, Temple and Yale.
About the Bison
>> Bucknell is playing its third tournament in as many weeks to start the fall season. After finishing sixth at the Colgate Invitational, the Bison tied for second last week at the Bucknell Invitational.
>> The Bison compiled a pair of 288s last week in their home event, after posting 308-303-301 at Colgate to start the year.
>> Headed to Ithaca this weekend will be Connor O'Brien, Jubal Early, D.J. Magee, J.B. Thompson and Ashton Radvansky. Zachary Melnick will play as an individual.
>> Bucknell's low scorer on the season -- J.P. Raftery -- gets the weekend off. Raftery already has two top-five finishes with a T-5th at Colgate and T-4th at Bucknell. His 72.2 scoring average includes a career-best 69 in the second round last week.
>> O'Brien shot 69-73 last week and placed T-7th. His 74.4 average is the best among this week's lineup.
The Cornell Invitational
>> Bucknell finished 12th at the Cornell Invitational last year, posting rounds of 300-298-317. O'Brien was the team's top finisher with rounds of 72-73-76, good for T-18th. Magee (77-76-75), Melnick (76-74-82) and Radvansky (73-84-83) also played at RTJ last year.
>> Bucknell's best team finish at Cornell was a runner-up effort in 2009. Two weeks after winning the Colgate Invitational, Brian Bartow won again at Cornell that year. Teammate Andrew Cohen took second place. Charlie Waddell also had a runner-up finish in 2004.
>> Princeton won the event last year but is not in the field this time around. Dartmouth won it in 2015.

>> Bucknell is back in action next weekend at the George Mason Patriot Intercollegiate. The tournament will be held at Laurel Hill GC in Lorton, Va.
