Nnadi Earns Second PL Field Athlete of the Week Award

LEWISBURG, Pa. – For the second time this season, Bucknell women's track and field senior Sophia Nnadi has been named M-F Athletic Field Athlete of the Week, after turning in a strong performance at the Youngstown State National Invitational over the weekend.
In a field of 37 throwers, Nnadi earned second place in the shot put, recording a heave of 47-10. Her toss is a new personal-best and was ¾ short of tying the program record. The throw exceeded the ECAC-standard and ranks 11th in the region for the year.
Nnadi also competed in the weight throw, taking fourth with a toss of 50-6. Her throw is a season-best among the team.
Bucknell returns to action on Friday (Feb. 12), hosting the Bucknell Tune-Up at Gerhard Fieldhouse.
