About the Bison
* Bucknell is 4-6 overall and 1-1 in the Patriot League after two tough losses to quality opponents. The Bison fell 2-1 in overtime to American and 4-3 to defending national champion Syracuse. They led the Eagles 1-0 after 70 minutes, but the game went into overtime after a penalty corner goal with no time on the clock. They led the fourth-ranked Orange 2-1 at the half.
* Freshman Marisa Morakis scored Bucknell's goal against American.
* Sophomore Nicole Rupnik scored two first-half goals against Syracuse, and junior Stephanie Dressler scored in the second half. The three goals were Bucknell's most in its nine games in the series with Syracuse.

Scouting No. 15 Boston University
* Boston University is 7-4 overall and 1-1 in the Patriot League. The Terriers won their first seven games of the season, but have suffered four straight losses to Lafayette, Connecticut, Harvard, and Duke. Three of the four losses came by one goal.
* The Terriers were picked to win their third consecutive Patriot League title.
* Hester van der Laan was voted the Patriot League Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, while Ellie Landsman was named the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
