Bybel, Adams Appear in Season's Final ITA Regional Rankings

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell men's tennis was represented by two players in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association regional rankings this season. Junior Nick Bybel was listed 12th in the Mid-Atlantic Region in singles and joined sophomore Bryan Adams for a No. 8 ranking in doubles.
Bybel, who was ranked as high as No. 114 in the nation, was named the Patriot League Player of the Year for the second straight season after going 22-1 during the spring campaign, including wins in his final 21 matches. He is Bucknell's all-time leader in singles wins with a career mark of 86-21 and also set the single-season wins mark this year with a combined record of 38-3 during the fall and spring.
Bybel and Adams were a strong doubles team from start to finish, posting a record of 18-3 during the fall and spring. The duo went 6-1 against Patriot League opponents and went 2-0 in the conference tournament. They avenged their only conference loss with a win over Army West Point's Sam Lampman and Alex Van Velzer in the semifinals.
The Bison finished the season 14-9 overall, an 11-win improvement from a year ago. They were 3-2 in the conference and went 1-1 in the Patriot League Tournament, beating Colgate in the quarterfinals before falling to Army West Point in the semifinals.
