Bourgal, Easse Earn Patriot League Weekly Awards for Women's Track and Field

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell women's track and field team had a pair of athletes earn weekly honors from the Patriot League following a solid performance at Bloomsburg's Maroon and Gold Meet on Saturday. Andrea Bourgal was named the M-F Athletic Track Athlete of the Week, while Stephanie Easse was selected as the Field Athlete of the Week.
Bourgal won the 800-meter run at Bloomsburg with a time of 2:16.67, less than six seconds from meeting the ECAC standard. Her time ranks in the top 15 in the Patriot League this season. It is the junior's first weekly award from the Patriot League.
Easse won the discus at the Maroon and Gold Meet with an ECAC-qualifying toss of 144-8. The mark stands second in the Patriot League this season. She also competed in the shot put with a mark of 37-10. The sophomore earns a Patriot League award for the first time of her career.
The Bison will look to win their second conference title of the year when they travel to Army for the Patriot League Outdoor Championships on Friday and Saturday.
