Women's Track and Field Adds Five Wins at Jim Taylor Invitational

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Just one day after winning five events at the Monmouth Season Opener, the Bucknell women's track and field team added five more titles on Sunday while competing at the Jim Taylor Invitational, hosted by Susquehanna University.
Leigh Ann Labate, Kylie Pearse, Tara Lee, Stephanie Easse, and Isabelle Hinckley all won individual events for the Bison.
Labate and Pearse paced the Bucknell distance runners. Labate took first in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:51.92, while Pearse won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:01.45. Lindsay Schafer was the runner-up to Pearse.
The Bison won two throwing events. Tara Lee's throw of 140-3 was good enough for first in the hammer. Stephanie Easse was the winner in the discus with a distance of 133-8.
Hinckley represented the jumpers, clearing 4-11 ¾ to win the high jump. Alexa DiGregorio also had a solid performance, taking runner-up honors in the long jump.
Also finishing runner-up on the day were Hanna Greenfield (100 hurdles), Carly Reiner (100), Katie Sabatino (400 hurdles) and Anna Black (200).
The Bison return to action when they travel to Williamsburg, Virginia for the Colonial Relays, hosted by William and Mary, on Friday and Saturday.
