LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell senior Kiersten Sydnor closed her collegiate career with an outstanding season and has been rewarded with a spot on the All-Mideast Region Second Team by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA).
Sydnor was a First Team All-Patriot League selection at the end of the regular season, which saw the Bison qualify for the conference tournament for the eighth consecutive year. She finished with 15 goals and 33 points and ranked as the top offensive player in the league with the most goals per game (0.79) and points per game (1.74). Her goal total tied for the fourth most in a single season in Bucknell history, while her point total ranked fifth.
For her career, Sydnor finished fourth in program history with 33 goals and sixth with 73 points. She had at least five goals and 10 points all four seasons with the Bison, while adding seven assists during her career.
Sydnor is the third Bucknell player in the past two seasons to earn all-region honors, joining Kelsey Mucelli and Liz Wills, who received the award in 2014. Eight players have been voted all-region during Jeremy Cook's eight seasons as head coach. He has had at least one player selected to the team in six of eight seasons, including multiple honorees on two occasions.
