TULSA, Okla. – Competing at the ITA All-American Championships for the first time in his career, Bucknell junior Bryan Adams had a solid performance, but fell in three sets to Max Andrews from Miami (FL).
Adams opened play in the Pre-Qualifying Draw of the nationally-renowned event. He dropped the first set 6-4, but responded with a 7-5 win in set two. Andrews clinched the match with a 6-2 win in set three. Andrews was an All-Conference USA selection at Rice last season before transferring to Miami. Adams fell to 4-5 in singles play this season.
The tournament isn't over for Adams, though. He will team with Nick Bybel in the doubles Qualifying Draw. Doubles competition is set to begin on Monday. Bybel will also begin play in the Qualifying Draw of singles that day.
