Women's Golf Places 10th at Home Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- A hole-in-one from junior Jen Lee highlighted the third and final round for the Bison women's golf team at the Bucknell Invitational on Sunday. The Bison closed with a 329 team score and finished in 10th place.
Seton Hall posted a tournament-best 293 in perfect weather conditions on Sunday, and the Pirates won the team title by six shots over 36-hole leader Rutgers. William & Mary, Columbia and Youngstown State rounded out the top five.
Sophomore Emily Larson was the low Bison with an 80 in the final round. Larson did not have anything worse than a bogey, and her 243 total equalled Lee for best on the team.
Lee aced the par-3, 156-yard fourth hole en route to a closing 81. Sophomore Callie Nelson posted her best round of the weekend with an 82 that included a birdie at No. 4. Freshman Lindsay Dodovich finished with an 86 and Emily Timmons shot 92.
Playing as individuals, junior Meghan Garanich shot 83 on Sunday, and sophomore Nicole Mischler posted an 86.
Emily Mills of Rutgers was medalist after compiling a 54-hole total of 220 (70-76-74). Erin McClure of Seton Hall placed second at 222. Karlie Zabrosky of Seton Hall had the low round of the day with a 1-over 71.
The Bison will be back in action Sept. 14-16 at the William & Mary Invitational at the Kingsmill Resort.
