Women's Golf Starts Play at W&M Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The Bison women's golf squad completed its first of three rounds of the William & Mary Invitational with a 331 team total on Sunday at the Plantation Course at Kingsmill Resort. Bucknell sits in 13th place in a strong field after 18 holes.
Emily Larson paced Bucknell with an 80, followed by Lindsay Dodovich with an 82 and Nicole Mischler with an 83. Callie Nelson shot 86 and Jen Lee turned in an 89.
Elon took the first-round lead with an even 300 ledger. Appalachian State and Morehead State are tied for second at 307, followed by Towson and William & Mary at 309. Bucknell is one stroke behind 12th-place St. John's.
Alexandra Austin of Radford carded an even-par 72 to take the individual lead by one stroke over Annette Lyche of UNC Wilmington, Heather Munzo of Elon and Mia Zanghetti of William & Mary.
The second round is set for Monday morning.
