TUXEDO PARK, N.Y. -- The Bison men's golf squad wrapped up play at the Columbia Invitational on Saturday, posting a 324 team score to finish in seventh place. Freshman Daniel Levin finished strong with a 4-over-par 75, but that was the team's only score in the 70s after a strong opening day on Friday.
Levin recorded rounds of 74-79-75, and his 54-hole total of 228 put him in a tie for 12th place. D.J. Magee began the day in third place, but he slipped down to T-14th after carding an 83. Peter Scialabba closed with an 80 and Nick Geissler shot 86.
Host Columbia closed with a 301 and won the team title by eight shots over runner-up Hofstra. Columbia's Brandon Jowers was the individual champion with a 218 total. Jared Mactas of Lafayette was one shot off the lead.
The Bison are back in action on Oct. 5-6 at the Binghamton Invitational.
