Nelson's Career-Best 77 Leads Bison on Final Day at William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Bucknell sophomore Callie Nelson chopped five strokes off her personal best competitive round with a 77 in the third and final round of the William & Mary Invitational at the Kingsmill Resort on Tuesday. The Bison closed with their best team score of the week (321) and finished in 13th place.
In addition to Nelson's 77, sophomore Nicole Mischler also fired her personal-best round with an 80. Sophomore Emily Larson, who posted a career-best 77 in the second round on Monday, followed with an 81. Junior Jen Lee added an 83 and freshman Lindsay Dodovich finished with an 89.
Elon closed with a 298 team total to complete a wire-to-wire team victory. Elon's 883 total was 21 shots better than runner-up Morehead State.
Elon's Kelsey Badmaev posted an even-par 216 to secure medalist honors by just one stroke over Anna Kim of St. John's.
The Bison will be back in action Oct. 3-5 at the Penn State Invitational.
