Yun Collects Bucknell's Eighth Golfer of the Week Honor

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Nicole Yun became Bucknell's eighth Patriot League Women's Golfer of the Week honoree in the 2025-26 season after a dominant win in Bucknell's match against Northern Kentucky on Wednesday afternoon in Vero Beach, Florida.
Bucknell and Northern Kentucky competed in match play at the Battle at Vero at the Grand Harbor Golf & Beach Club where the Bison won 5.5-1.5 as five Bison won their matches.
Yun did not lose a single hole, posting a one-over par 71 as she finished out every hole. Yun's opponent parred the first two holes, but the junior opened her day with two birdies to go two-up early in the match.She dominated the front nine, taking a five-hole lead into the back nine. She clinched the match after a par on the par-four 14th hole to win the hole. Yun later birdied the par-five 16th hole as she finished her round seven-up.
This is Yun's first career PL Golfer of the Week award. Sophia Bardunias, Paige Richter and Joelle Johnson have won the award twice this season, and Katherine Vice has won once.
Yun posted two top-10 finishes in the fall, tying for fifth at the Navy Fall Invitational and placing sixth at the Red Flash Invitational.
Bucknell looks to continue its historic season at the NKU Spring Fling at the Sandridge Golf & Beach Club in Vero Beach, Florida. Tee times begin at 11:30 a.m. on Friday and the 54-hole tournament continues through Sunday.
