Field Hockey to Host Patriot League Tournament on Friday and Saturday

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell field hockey team is set to host the four-team Patriot League Championship for the first time in program history on Friday and Saturday at Graham Field. The top-seeded Bison will host fourth-ranked Colgate at 11 a.m. on Friday, while second-seeded Boston University will take on third-seeded American at 2 p.m. The winner of each game will meet for the title on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Bucknell (12-5, 6-0 PL)
- The Bison won their first outright Patriot League regular season title with a perfect 6-0 record against conference opponents. In their three games against the other three teams in this weekend's tournament, they out-scored the competition 11-3.
- Against Colgate, Bucknell erased a 1-0 deficit with five unanswered goals in a 5-1 win. Five different players scored for the Bison.
- Bucknell is the highest-rated team from the Patriot League in the most recent NCAA Division I RPI rankings, coming in at No. 21.
- Three Bison were voted to the All-Patriot League First Team (Kelsey Mucelli, Liz Wills and Amie Pritchard), while Maggie Murphy made the Second Team
- Head coach Jeremy Cook was selected as the Patriot League Coach of the Year for the first time in his seven years with the program.
- Bucknell was first in the conference in goals allowed per game (1.47) and had the second most shutouts with seven. The Bison had three games in which they didn't allow a single shot on goal

Colgate (5-11, 3-3 PL)
- Colgate won its first three Patriot League games, but dropped the final three, including a 4-1 loss to Boston University to end the regular season.
- Jessica Gardiner is tied with Bucknell's Kelsey Mucelli for the conference lead with seven assists.
- Goalkeeper Amanda DiDomizio averages 7.50 saves per game, most in the Patriot League by more than a full save per game.
- Due to some lopsided losses, the Raiders rank last in the conference in scoring margin at -2.25.
- Eliana Brown earned First Team All-Patriot League honors, while DiDomizio and Rebecca Libutti were picked to the Second Team

Boston University (11-7, 5-1 PL)
- Boston University is ranked 20th in the most recent NFHCA Coaches Poll, but is 25th, four spots behind Bucknell, in the RPI rankings.
- The Terriers' Sofi Laurito was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, and Valentina Cerda Eimbcke was voted the Goalkeeper of the Year
- Boston University enters the tournament on a three-game winning streak, including a 2-1 win over No. 8 Virginia. After starting 5-5, the Terriers closed the regular season with a 7-2 record in their final nine games.
- The Terriers fell to American in last year's championship game.
- Boston ranks second in the Patriot League in goals per game (2.06) and third in goals allowed per game (1.61).
- Key Wins: 2-1 over Providence, 3-1 over American, 2-1 over No. 8 Virginia

- The Eagles have won nine of the past 11 Patriot League titles, including a 3-0 shutout over Boston University in last year's championship game.
- American's Grace Wilson was the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, while Angela Virtu was the Rookie of the Year.
- The Eagles led the conference with eight shutouts this season, including two against conference opponents.
- They were also the league leader with 10 goals off penalty corners.
- Goalkeeper Kate McBeath had all eight shutouts.
- Key Wins: 1-0 over Old Dominion, 1-0 in 2OT over Michigan State, 1-0 over Drexel, 1-0 over Cornell,
