BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Freshman Daniel Levin carded a 3-over-par 75 -- a terrific score in cool, windy conditions -- to lead a young Bucknell contingent in round one of the Lehigh Invitational on Saturday. With three freshmen and two sophomores in the lineup, the Bison posted a 314 team score and stand in sixth place out of 12 teams with the final round to come on Sunday at Saucon Valley CC.
Levin's 75 puts him in a tie for 10th place at the halfway mark. Towson's John Hulede was the only player in the field under par on Saturday. He fired a 1-under 71.
Also for Bucknell, sophomore John Edler posted a 78, sophomore D.J. Magee carded an 80, freshman C.J. Zachary shot 81 and freshman J.B. Thompson 87.
Led by Hulede's 71, Towson posted a 295 on Saturday and has a nine-shot lead on second-place Lafayette. Siena is third at 308, and Fordham and Rutgers are tied for fourth at 309.
