
Women's Track & Field Leads PL with 53 Honor Roll Picks

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell women's track and field continued to mark itself as the team to beat as it led the Patriot League with 53 selections to the Academic Honor Roll, it was announced on Thursday. Of those recognized, Nora Adams (Boalsburg, Pa./State College Area), Alison Billas (Danville, Pa./Danville Area), Sasha Hornock (Dover, Pa./Dover), Laura Lutzker (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale), Olivia Massey (Westport, Conn./Staples), Emily Waksmunski (Carrolltown, Pa./Bishop Carroll) and Jennifer Zymet (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) all earned perfect 4.0 grade-point averages to lead the Bison during the spring semester.
Bucknell's 53 honorees gave the Bison a comfortable advantage as Lehigh was second with 34 selections. Holy Cross (32) and Navy (25) rounded out the top half of the league. Bucknell's seven student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA was also the highest total. In all, 191 track and field athletes were named to the Academic Honor Roll and 23 of those posted a 4.0 or higher.
Tolli and Waksmunski are no strangers to honors for their success in the classroom this year. Both were named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team along with Zymet while the duo was also voted to the Capital One Academic All-District Team. Additionally, 12 of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll were also individual conference champions this year, including Jess Bridle (Tewskbury, Mass./Tewksbury), Alyssa Cardillo (Bath, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic), Chrissy Haney (Stone Mountain, Ga./George School), Erin Horleman (Beach Haven, N.J./Southern Regional), Hornock, Massey, Kim Nagotko (Mahwah, N.J./Mahwah), Sophia Nnadi (Columbus, Ohio/Saint Francis DeSales), Alexandra Romanelli (Galloway, N.J./Absegami), Tolli, Waksmunski and Zymet.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must achieve a 3.2 grade-point average in the spring semester.
