PRINCETON, N.J. (Lake Carnegie) - The Bucknell women's rowing team's lightweight eight faced Princeton's third-ranked lightweight on Monday in head-to-head competition on Lake Carnegie. The Tigers posted a win over the Bison in the 1,500-meter race. Bucknell, which is listed fifth in the latest rankings, crossed the finish line in 5 minutes, 4.5 seconds, six seconds behind Princeton's 4:58.5.
"Before they went out, we told our women to work hard, extend themselves, and push their limits. They did all three," said Bison head coach Stephen Kish. "We look forward to the work ahead and to seeing Princeton again in four weeks time at the IRA Lightweight National Championship."
