LEWISBURG, Pa. - Coming off a sweep at last weekend's Patriot League Championships, Bucknell track and field will be hosting a free Learn-by-Doing Clinic on Thursday. Bison coaches and student-athletes will instruct high school students in warm-up techniques, drills and workout simulations for all event areas. The clinic is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. at Gerhard Fieldhouse.
Registration for the clinic begins at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Participants should bring their own high school plastic shot, rubber discus and pole vault poles. For more information, contact Bucknell head coach Kevin Donner at kdonner@bucknell.edu or 570-577-1487.
Bucknell swept the Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championships last weekend, defeating the defending champion Navy squads on both the men's and women's sides. Among the major award winners was Justin Hicks, who was named the Outstanding Track Athlete of the Meet after winning the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes, and setting a school record in the 60 and a Patriot League record in the 200. Donner was also named both the men's and women's Coach of the Year.
