Bucknell Softball Hosts Elite Summer Clinic

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell softball will be keeping busy this summer by holding a two-day clinic for advanced high school players looking to build and showcase their skills. Players entering grades 10-12 are eligible for the Elite Softball Two-Day Clinic Aug. 27-28 at Becker Field.
The clinic will cover skills such as fielding and throwing, with emphasis on specific position work. Hitting, base running, game situations and mental aspects of the game will also be included. Participants will be active in both drill and scrimmage situations.
The deadline registration is Aug. 1. Those interested in attending should see the brochure for more information.
Bucknell finished the 2011 season with a 14-36 overall record. Graduating senior Alison Ford (Suisun City, Calif./Fairfield) was voted the Patriot League Player of the Year.
