Bucknell Women's Basketball Announces Pair of Early Signings for Class of 2016

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell women's basketball inked two players for the Class of 2016 during the early signing period, head coach Kathy Fedorjaka announced on Friday. A pair of Ohio-born guards Tyler Craig (Columbus, Ohio/St. Francis DeSales) and Sheaira Jones (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain) will join the Bison next winter, bringing with them several All-District nods and proven success in the backcourt.
Bucknell will add Craig and Jones to a young squad that has started the 2011-12 season 1-7 overall and will lose just one player to graduation in the spring. The current Bison continue their campaign tomorrow when they travel to Newark, N.J., for a 2 p.m. matchup with NJIT.

Fedorjaka on Craig: "Tyler is going to be a great addition to our team. She is an up-tempo point guard with very good size and skill at that position. She leads extremely well and has great court vision. A very good athlete, Tyler will fit in well in our pressing and transition system. She can also score the basketball from the point position and that is something that we are excited about. She has a strong basketball IQ and that is something that is extremely important for a point guard to possess."

Fedorjaka on Jones: "Sheaira is an explosive and strong athlete. I am so impressed with her athleticism and defensive abilities. She is strong and physically ready for the Division I level already. She slashes to the basket extremely well but is also very solid from the perimeter and that just compliments her ability to get to the rim. I think she has a tremendous upside in terms of her talent and athletic potential and those are the kinds of players that we like to recruit."
