LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell's Andrew Cohen (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck) has been named to the 2010 Division I PING All-Northeast Region Team after capping an outstanding four-year career at Bucknell with an impressive senior year. Cohen was one of 25 players named from the Northeast Region, and he was one of 153 players across six regions honored by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
This spring Cohen earned his fourth straight All-Patriot League medal after finishing in a tie for 10th place at the Patriot League Championship. He became only the sixth four-time all-conference player in league history. Cohen was the Patriot League Rookie of the Year after a T-4th finish in 2007 and he was the 2009 Patriot League champion while leading the Bison to their third team championship in four years.
In the 2009 fall season he finished 3rd-1st-2nd-3rd-4th in his five events and broke the school record with a 72.4 fall scoring average. His 73.2 average for the full 2009-10 season is also a program record. The highlight of Cohen's spring season was his final-round 6-under 66 that lifted him to victory at the Lafayette Invitational. The score was a school 18-hole record in relation to par.
In his career, Cohen won individual titles at four tournaments and finished in the top 10 18 times, including in 15 of his final 22 career appearances.
