LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell women's rowing team paced the Patriot League in number of student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll with 34, the league office announced earlier this week. The Bison have now had a league-best 164 team members named to the Academic Honor Roll over the last six years. Holy Cross was a distant second this year with 21 selections.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's six winter or 10 spring championship sports.
Devon Mitchell, Meghan O'Reilly, Julia Steen and Kim Weaver each earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average during the spring semester. Bucknell, which is coming off its fifth consecutive league championship, registered four of the 11 4.0 GPAs in the Patriot League. It is the second straight year a quartet of Bison had perfect GPAs to land on the Academic Honor Roll.
