LEWISBURG, Pa. - The winter storm striking the Northeast has necessitated schedule changes for both the Bucknell men's and women's basketball games this weekend against Army. The Army women's team is unable to depart West Point, and in order to accommodate the Black Knights' travel plans, that game has been postponed until Sunday at 2 p.m. at Sojka Pavilion. Meanwhile, the Bucknell-Army men's game has been moved back three hours to 7 p.m. on Saturday evening.
With one game remaining in the regular season, the Bison men are tied for second place in the Patriot League standings, one game behind league-leading Lehigh. Bucknell has clinched a top-four seed and could finish as high as second with a win on Saturday night.
On the women's side, both Bucknell and Army are playing to enhance their playoff positions. A Bison win improves the team's chances of earning the No. 6 seed in the Patriot League Tournament, while a win for the Black Knights opens the door for Army to be seeded as high as fourth. The losing team will slip to eighth place in the league standings.
Bucknell women's basketball Senior Day ceremonies will take place as planned prior to Sunday's game.
The complete men's and women's Patriot League Tournament pairings will be announced at the conclusion of this weekend's games.
