AKRON, Ohio - Sarah Moniz (Topsfield, Mass./Masconomet Regional) won the mile and three other Bison recorded ECAC-qualifying marks as Bucknell women's track and field took fourth place at the Akron Quad on Friday night. Sasha Hornock (Dover, Pa./Dover) and Jennifer Pierce (Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J./Northern Highlands) also earned a place among the top runners in program history, clocking top-10 times.
Moniz claimed the only victory for the Bison at the competitive meet, finishing the mile in 5 minutes, 5.98 seconds. It was the first race of the indoor season for the junior after earning First Team All-Patriot League honors in cross country this fall.
