LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell women's track and field team had 53 student-athletes named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, it was announced Wednesday. The Bison led the league with Holy Cross listing second with 44 honorees. No other squad had more than 21 Academic Honor Roll selections.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's six winter or 10 spring championship sports.
Bucknell, which accounted for more than one-third of the 165 women's track and field Academic Honor Roll members, had four student-athletes earn perfect 4.0 grade-point averages during the spring semester. Kelly Desharnais, Megan Hathaway, Jessica Hibbert and Caroline Strunk were the four Bison to earn 4.0s.
