Bucknell Basketball Hosts Food Drive at Doubleheader vs. Fordham, Saint Francis

LEWISBURG, Pa. – With the holiday season fast approaching, Bucknell men's and women's basketball is giving back to the Lewisburg community with a food drive during their games on Saturday. Fans attending the Bison basketball doubleheader at Sojka Pavilion are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to be donated to the Lewisburg Food Bank. The action kicks off with the women's squad facing Fordham at 5 p.m., followed by the men against Saint Francis (Pa.) in their home opener at 7:30 p.m.
The collection for the Lewisburg Food Bank is not the only community event planned by the Bucknell basketball squads this winter. The Bison will be conducting additional food drives later in the season, among other community outreach programs.
“The food drive is a great example of us trying to do our part in the community,” said women's basketball assistant coach Corey Laster. “In this holiday season, we're thankful for an opportunity to give back.”
