Bucknell Men's Lacrosse Leads Patriot League with 20 Academic Honor Roll Members

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men's lacrosse team placed 20 players on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, it was announced Thursday. The 20 honorees were the most in the Patriot League, marking the third consecutive year the Bison have topped the conference.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's six winter or 10 spring championship sports.
A total of 88 Patriot League men's lacrosse players were named to the Honor Roll. Six players posted 4.0 grade-point averages, including Bucknell senior Steven Cheng.
The Bison edged out second-place Lafayette, which had 18 student-athlete named to the Honor Roll, for the top spot in the league. Army (13) and Colgate (12) also had at least 10 team members recognized, while Holy Cross (9), Lehigh (8) and Navy (8) rounded out the list.
The Bucknell men's lacrosse team was successful on the field in 2008 as well, advancing to the Patriot League championship game for the first time in program history.
