LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell women's track and field team led the Patriot League with an amazing 50 student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced Wednesday. The Bison and Holy Cross, which had 46 Honor Roll selections, accounted for more than half of the 178 women's track and field student-athletes on the Honor Roll.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's six winter or 10 spring championship sports.
Five Bison posted 4.0 grade-point averages in the spring semester: Ashley Curry, Colleen Gavigan, Allison Janda, Courtney Lynch and Lisa Prybella.
Behind Bucknell and Holy Cross were Lafayette (17 Honor Roll members), Navy (16), American (15), Lehigh (15), Colgate (12) and Army, which rounded out the list with seven honorees.
In 2008, the Bison won their seventh consecutive Patriot League Indoor Championships and took second at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships.
The following are Bucknell's 2008 Patriot League Honor Roll members from the women's track and field team.
