ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Bucknell opened play at the Navy Invitational with a round of 299, and the Bison are eighth out of 18 teams with the final round yet to come on Sunday.
Keita Aoki (Tokyo, Japan/St. Mary's International School), Stuart Lindgren (Richfield, Minn./Richfield) and Ben Mattingly (Fishers, Ind./Park Tudor) all shot 74 for the Bison. Rahul Desai (Avon, Conn./Kingswood-Oxford) shot 77 and Andrew Cohen (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck) shot 82.
Sebastian Palomares of George Washington shot a 3-under 68 to take the individual lead by one over Ben Hayes of Navy.
Iona took the team lead with an opening round of 291. Niagara and George Washington are three shots back.
