LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's lacrosse team looks to make it two straight victories when Ohio State visits Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium on Saturday at 1 p.m. The 19th-ranked Bison are coming off a 10-9 win over Hobart at home last Sunday to even up their record at 1-1.
Series Notes:
- Bucknell leads the all-time series with Ohio State 3-0, including a 7-6 win last season in Columbus. The Bison also won at home in 1991 and 1993.
- In last season's meeting, Austin Winter had two goals and two assists, while Perry Menzies and Tim Brandau also scored two goals apiece, leading 17th-ranked Bucknell to its third straight win to start the year, 7-6 at No. 19 Ohio State. Joel Delgarno scored twice for Ohio State. Both of Delgarno's goals came early in the fourth quarter to bring the Buckeyes within one goal at 7-6, but the Bison defense kept them off the scoreboard the rest of the way. Nick Sciubba made his first Bucknell start in goal and finished with 10 saves, including a tricky stop in the closing seconds of the game. Ohio State goalie Stefan Schroeder was credited with nine stops. The Bison held a 42-36 shot advantage, while Ohio State won the ground ball battle 29-22. The Buckeyes won 12 of 17 faceoffs, including 8 of 10 in the first half.
Last Outing:
Freshman Ryan Klipstein had four goals and an assist to lead Bucknell to a 10-9 win over Hobart on Sunday. The Bison led for most of the contest, only to see the Statesmen rally from a three-goal deficit to tie the game at 9-9 in the fourth quarter. But Nick Marks scored the tiebreaking goal with 5:49 left and Nick Sciubba made a big save in the final 30 seconds to preserve the first win of the season.
Bison Bits:
- Other multiple-point scorers for the Bison were Tim Brandau (2-0-2), Austin Winter (1-2-3) and John Togneri (0-2-2).
- Nick Sciubba finished with 14 saves.
- Ryan Klipstein's four goals were the first four of his career, and they came on just four shots. Klipstein, who also had an assist at Duke in the season opener, is now the team's leading scorer with six points, and he ranks fifth in the Patriot League in scoring.
- The Bison won only 6 of 20 faceoffs, but freshman Christian Tucker won three in a row in the fourth quarter.

- In the season opener at Duke, junior defenseman Tom Izard and freshman middie Mike Danylyshyn made their first career starts.
Scouting the Buckeyes:
- The Buckeyes, who are ranked No. 20 in this week's Nike/Inside Lacrosse media poll, are playing their third straight Patriot League opponent to start the year. Ohio State opened with an 8-7 overtime loss to Navy, then routed Colgate 13-6 last weekend.

- Stefan Schroder has played every second in goal for Ohio State. He has made 19 saves while allowing 14 goals, good for a .576 save percentage.
- In the Navy game, Ohio State trailed 6-2 in the second half and finally tied it on Buchanan's goal with 0:01 left in regulation. But Michael Beggins scored in OT for Navy to spoil the comeback bid.
In the Polls
