Bucknell Men's Tennis Finishes Weekend At Brown

Final Results
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Bucknell men's tennis team wrapped up the Northeast Tournament at Brown on Sunday with freshman Mark Malloy (Bronxville, N.Y./Hackley School) making the final round in the No. 6 Singles fight.
Malloy played John Magliano of Villanova in the semifinal round of the sixth singles flight on Sunday for a 7-6, 6-3 win. Malloy moved on to the final round against AJ Nelson of Rhode Island and fell, 1-6, 6-1, 10-2. On Saturday Malloy defeated Scott Schulman of Brandeis for a win (6-1, 6-0) and he opened the weekend with a win over James Sparacio of Lafayette, 6-3, 7-6, Friday.
Sophomore Zach Hascoe (Greenwich, Conn./Brunswick) played the top seed, Kendrick Au of Brown, in the No. 3 singles flight semifinal on Sunday. Hascoe dropped the match, 6-3, 6-2 to Au. On Friday, Hascoe won his match against Justin Seow of Farleigh Dickinson, 6-4, 6-2. to move on to the quarterfinals round Saturday where he faced Trenton Alenik of Villanova for a 6-3, 6-0 win.
Junior Jonathan Brenner (Manhasset, N.Y./Chaminade) faced Josh Girling of Farleigh Dickinson on Sunday for the semifinal round in the No. 4 singles flight and fell, 7-5, 7-6. Brenner started the weekend off with a win over Antonio Oliver of Marist, 6-4, 6-4, in the first round and defeated James Murphy of Lafayette in the quarterfinal round, 6-2, 6-0, Saturday.
In the seventh singles flight, senior Ben Young (New Canaan, Conn./Canaan) face Alex Lesser of Villanova on Sunday in the semifinal round and dropped the match, 6-3, 6-3. He defeated James Pellechi of Colgate, 6-3, 6-1, in the quarterfinal round on Saturday after defeating Mayer Kassety of Brandeis, 6-3, 6-1, Friday.
After falling to Loic Sessagesimi of Marist, 6-3, 4-6, 6-0, in the No. 1 singles flight on Friday, senior Ira Reibeisen (Armonk, N.Y./Rye Country Day-Upper School) faced Jeff Cote of Rhode Island Saturday, and won the match 6-2. Reibeisen played Martin MacIntyre of Colgate Sunday and fell 6-4, 6-4.
The Bucknell men's tennis team is set to travel to Storrs, Conn. for the Connecticut Invitational, Friday, Sept. 28 - Sunday, Sept. 30.
