2007 IC4A Outdoor Track and Field Championships: Final Results
PRINCETON, N.J. - On Sunday, at the 2007 ECAC and IC4A Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the quartet of senior Christa Sawko (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area), along with juniors Erin Cranmer-Hart (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slipper Rock) and Offeibea Hanson-Hall (New Rochelle, Pa./New Rochelle) and freshman Allison Janda (Plymouth, Mich./Salem) of the Bucknell track and field squad turned in a fourth-place showing in the 4x800-meter relay with a time of 8 minutes, 57.00 seconds, which earned the team All-East recognition. As a team, the Bison women scored a total of 19 points, which was good for 17th place, while the men finished in 28th place with nine points.
Senior Catherine Trentacoste (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) posted a seventh-place performance in the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.55. Junior Beverly Rogers (Finleyville, Pa./Ringgold) finished tenth in the javelin with a throw of 135 feet (41.16m). In the shot put, senior Marjorie Grap (Van Etten, N.Y./Spencer-Van Etten) placed 15th with a distance of 42-6 ¾ (12.97m).
On the men's side, freshman Nick DeGregorio (Ridgewood, N.J./Bergen Catholic) threw for a distance of 46-8 (14.22m) in the shot put, which was good for 30th.
Senior Melanie Buczko (Butler, Pa./Butler Area), Matthew Forys (Howell, N.J./Howell), Tyler Hoffman (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg) and Joshua Kaehler (Hanover, Pa./South Western), along with Sawko, Grap and Rogers have met the regional qualifying standards in their respective events and will participate in the 2007 NCAA East Regional Championships on May 25-26, in Gainesville, Fla., on the campus of the University of Florida.
