Bucknell Men's Golf Finishes 18th at William & Mary Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Playing the famed River Course at Kingsmill Resort, the Bucknell golf squad shot 305 on Tuesday to finish in 18th place at the William & Mary Invitational. Senior Charlie Waddell (Wilmette, Ill./Lake Forest Academy) bounced back from an opening-round 79 to shoot a 2-over-par 73 in the final round to lead the team.
Also for Bucknell, Andrew Cohen (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck) shot 74, Rahul Desai (Avon, Conn./Kingswood-Oxford) and Chas Wagner (Oakmont, Pa./Hampton) both shot 79 and Stuart Lindgren (Richfield, Minn./Richfield) finished with an 84.
Cohen was Bucknell's top finisher overall, placing T-33rd with a 36-hole total of 151 (77-74).
Campbell began the final round with an eight-shot lead and held on to win by three over St. John's. Campbell's Frederic Sundberg shot 67-70 to win medalist honors by two strokes over Mark Sommerfeld of Detroit.
With the Bucknell Golf Course expected to open for the first time this spring later this week, the Bison will have some time to train prior to their next even on Apr. 6-7 at the Navy Invitational.
