Bucknell Men's Golf Opens Spring Season with 306 at GW Invitational

BETHANY BEACH, Del. -- Andrew Cohen's first-round even-par 72 led Bucknell's men's golf team to a 306 team score at the George Washington Invitational, which is being held at Bear Trap Dunes GC on the Delaware shore. Bucknell, which is playing for the first time in 2007, is in a tie for 15th place among 24 teams.
Charlie Waddell (Wilmette, Ill./Lake Forest Academy) shot 75 for the Bison, while Rahul Desai (Avon, Conn./Kingswood-Oxford) shot 79 and Stuart Lindgren (Richfield, Minn./Richfield) and Chas Wagner (Oakmont, Pa./Hampton) each shot 80.
Cohen sits in a tie for 13th place individually. Anthony Campanile of Monmouth and Chance Pippitone of Penn shot 6-under 66s to grab the individual lead by two shots over Kyle Morris of Seton Hall.
Penn has the first-round team lead after posting a 2-under 286. Seton Hall is second at 290, with Longwood (291), Yale (294), Iona (298) and Monmouth (298) rounding out the top five.
The final round is scheduled to begin on Sunday morning.
