Bucknell Field Hockey Falls To Penn, 2-0

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell field hockey team fell to Penn, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon in the second of two games hosted at Graham Field this weekend. The Bison are now 6-6 on the season (0-2 PL) while the Quakers move to 5-5.
Penn's Andrea Rockey put the first goal of the game on the board just 15 seconds before the end of the first half. Rockey netted the ball off a feed from Kara Bolger. In the 64th minute, Penn notched the second goal of the game when Melissa Black went unassisted.
Sophomore goalkeeper Jessie Atieh (North Caldwell, N.J./West Essex) made three saves off of the Quakers' five shots on goal. Penn's goalkeeper Alanna Butera made two saves in the contest.
The Bucknell field hockey team will return to action on Oct. 13 for its third Patriot League match-up of the season. The Bison will travel to Hamilton, N.Y. to take on Colgate at 1 p.m.
