Bucknell's Marjorie Grap Field Honored by ECAC

LEWISBURG, Pa - Bucknell women's indoor track and field performer senior Marjorie Grap (Van Etten, N.Y./Spencer-Van Etten) was recognized by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) as the Female Field Athlete of the Week for her performance in the Gulden Relays last Saturday in Gerhard Fieldhouse.
Grap, who was named Female Field Performer of the Week by the Patriot League for the second time this season on Tuesday, took home two victories in the weight throw and the shot put. In the weight throw, the senior throw for a new school and fieldhouse record of 65 feet, 1 ¼ inches (19.84m), which also made her a provisional qualifier for the NCAA Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., in March.
In the shot put, Grap qualified for the ECAC Championships after launching a new personal best record of 45-3 (13.79m). She was also named Field MVP of the Gulden Relays.
The Bucknell indoor track and field teams will host the Bucknell Heptagonal on Saturday, Jan. 20, in Gerhard Fieldhouse. The meet will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the field events, while the running events will start at noon.
